AFHEG at GITEX Kenya 2026

21/05/2026

CEO Phillip Andrew Mwebaza speaking at GITEX Kenya 2026

AI EVERYTHING KENYA x GITEX KENYA took place in Nairobi from 19 to 21 May 2026. CEO Phillip Andrew Mwebaza joined a panel alongside health and technology leaders to discuss whether AI can extend healthcare access where clinician and infrastructure constraints remain significant.

AFHEG’s contribution

The AFHEG position was broader than technology adoption. Digital tools can expand reach, but access also depends on whether communities can understand information, trust the systems presenting it and make decisions within the economic and social realities of their lives.

The discussion fits AFHEG’s wider work on health literacy as infrastructure: technology can move information faster, but communication design determines whether information becomes usable.
